Egg Heads Knit & Crochet Patterns
KNITTED MINION EGG HEAD
Cast on 32st using 2.75 Needles. In Bright Yellow
Row 1 knit
Row 2 Purl ( Continue this way in SS till 12 rows have been knitted. )
Change to Black and SS rows 13 to 18.
Row 19 *K2, K2 tog* Repeat this until end up with 24st
Row 20 *P1, P2 tog* Repeat until end 16st
Row 21 As Row 19 12st
Row 22 As Row 20 6st
gather last st. together tie off and sew up back.
Make face for front and add an eye to middle.
KNITTED STRIPY EGG HEAD
Cast on the same amount of stitches as for Minion Head.
Using 2 contrasting colours, just knit and purl one row in one colour, then change to next colour
so alternating until theres 16 rows knitted.
Row 17 As Row 19 on Minion Head
Row 18 As Row 20 on Minion Head
Row 19 As Row 21 on Minion Head
Row 20 As Row 22 on Minion Head
Pull in, sew up and make a small bobble of pull a few strands through the top for a hat.
CHICK CROCHET EGG HEAD
Materials used Cygnet DK Sunshine, A small amount of orange for the beak, and a small amount of black for the eyes. This pattern is worked in rounds using a stitch marker R1 – 6dc into magic ring (6) R2- *1dc into the next st, 2dc into the next st – rep from * 6times (12) R3- *2dc into the next st, 2dc into the next st – rep from * 6times (18) R4- *3dc into the next st, 2dc into the next st – rep from * 6times (24) R5- *4dc into the next st, 2dc into the next st – rep from * 6times (30) R6- *5dc into the next st, 2dc into the next st – rep from * 6 times (36) R7- R10 dc1 into each stitch (36) ss to join and sew in end. To make the eyes, in black, sew on 2 crosses half way down from the top of the hat. To make the beak sew in orange back and forth to make a triangle in the centre just below the eyes. To make the hair cut 6-8 pieces of yellow wool and tie them through the top of the head and cut to required length.
OWL CROCHET EGG HEAD
Materials used Cygnet DK Clementine, Cygnet DK white, you will also need a small amount of yellow for the beak and 2 buttons for the eyes. R1 – In Clementine Ch 31, turn R2 – R5 – ch 1, dc1 into each st across, turn Change to white R6 – R11 – Ch 1, dc1 into each st across, turn. Tie off leaving enough wool to sew together. Sew across the back making it into a cylinder. Flatten the hat and sew along the white at the top of the hat, leaving the bottom open. Sew on two buttons for eyes in line with the colour change, and to make the beak sew back and forth between the eyes to make a triangle.
